Water is always there even if you are staying in a hotel, so use it. Immediately after you eat, you should rinse your mouth out with tap water if you don't have a toothbrush handy. This will loosen debris from food particles and allow you to decrease the chances of bacteria setting in.

Toothbrush

Having a toothbrush handy is a good idea no matter where you are. Pack a small travel toothbrush if you don't want to lug around your electric toothbrush or full-sized brush. However, for a full cleaning, a larger brush is always better.

Floss

Floss is a great tool to loosen debris between teeth that can irritate the gums and get lodged between spacers or braces. It's a good idea to keep dental floss with you at all times so that you can use it after each meal and anytime you have a quick snack. Certain foods are worse than others when it comes to getting food stuck between teeth such as corn-on-the-cob, roast beef, and other foods.
